Chaing Rai / Chiang Mai - 3 nights 
For beautiful places and temples nearby 

Ko Tap for snorkeling and diving certification courses. Lots of diving opportunities. Ocean utopia 

Rai Lay beach 
Beautiful beaches with mountains and tall volcanic rocks on the shore 

Khao Sok national park - for jungle and river views, can stay in cottages by the river 
And some kayaking 

Ayutthaya - temple and older city monuments. City is an island connected by 3 rivers

Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai (north) - mountains, city and Buddhist temples

Bangkok 1 night - capital city, buildings, Buddhist temples, grand palace and night clubs 

Ko Phi Phi 3 nights - stunning bay that has mountains and sand beaches, good for snorkeling, boating  and watching monkeys.
